Faulkner is taking a position as general counsel at the University of Cincinatti in Ohio and will continue to serve in her post in Pennsylvania until March 29, a news release stated.
In her time in the position, the Office of Inspector General qualified investigators as Certified Fraud Examiners and began a monthly reporting process for the names of people adjudicated for welfare fraud, according to the release.
The announcement followed news that Gary Alexander, secretary of the state Department of Welfare, would leave his post last month.
The governor's office said Alexander was leaving to pursue opportunities in the private sector and to spend more time with his family residing in Rhode Island.
