APO2 is Dynamic’s third acquisition in recent months, following Evanko Respiratory Inc. in Hazleton in September and HomeTown Oxygen Pittsburgh in November.
APO2, founded in 2004 by William Pavlick, is a full-service home medical equipment company providing home oxygen delivery systems, CPAP, sleep-apnea products and consumer power mobility products. According to a news release, APO2 “has experienced significant growth during each year of operation.”
“Acquiring APO2 immediately expands our product offerings and market penetration in Hazleton,” DHS president and CEO Terry Luft said. “APO2’s position in the marketplace, combined with the operations of our Evanko unit and our management experience, infrastructure and resources will allow us to continually take advantage of growth opportunities in the Hazleton area.”
Dynamic was formed in 2000 as the parent company to the midstate’s Central Medical Equipment and Pittsburgh-based East Suburban Medical Supply; it is a portfolio company of Delaware County-based private equity firm GMH Ventures.
GMH president Michael Holloway said the company is “actively seeking to acquire other companies in the home medical equipment marketplace to expand our regional presence.”
