Art Glatfelter of Glatfelter Insurance dies

Arthur J. Glatfelter, founder of York County-based Glatfelter Insurance Group, has died, according to a posting on the business's website.

Glatfelter was born in 1924 and founded the business, formally Arthur J. Glatfelter Agency Inc., in 1951.

In his first 20 years in business, he built one of the largest all-lines, full-service retail agencies in the region, according to the statement.
