PEOPLE: promotions, appointments and hires

Manheim Township-based Friendship Community named Gary McMullen director of residential services. He will oversee all residential programs in Lancaster and Lebanon counties and coordinate corporate risk management. He has 26 years of experience in the intellectual disabilities field and joined Friendship Community in 1994. Jen Strausser was named director of support services. She will oversee health services, behavioral support, home-based services, the heART of Friendship Art Gallery and spiritual-nurture and community-life services. She has 24 years of experience and a bachelor's degree in social work from Philadelphia College of Bible.
