The four sessions will be Feb. 12-13 at the Eisenhower Hotel & Conference Center in Cumberland Township. Each will be geared toward specific segments:
• Restaurants and food service at 10 a.m. Feb. 12
• Retail at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 12
• Attractions and events at 10 a.m. Feb. 13
• Accommodations at 2 p.m. Feb. 13
The sessions are open to everyone, including residents around the region, to learn about the commemorations, the visitors bureau said.
Summer 2013 marks the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg, and the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address is in the fall.
The milestones are expected to help net about 4 million visitors to Adams County compared with about 3 million in a typical year, the bureau said.
In 2011, visitor spending was about $605 million compared with up to $750 million expected this year, according to the bureau.
