PEOPLE: promotions, appointments and hires

York-based Gavin Advertising named Lauren Bowers and Becky Ruch marketing and communications coordinators. Bowers has a background in public relations, crisis communications and government affairs. She was interim press secretary for Dauphin County and an associate with La Torre Communications in Harrisburg. She has a BA in communications, with an emphasis in public relations, from Penn State University. Ruch has nearly seven years of marketing experience. She was an account executive with Varsity in Lower Paxton Township and a project manager with affiliate Pavone. She has a bachelor's degree in speech communication and a minor in journalism from Millersville University.
