A mandatory presubmittal meeting for developers who might be interested in the project is scheduled for Monday at the airport in Lower Swatara Township.
Referred to as the North 29 Lot, the 29-acre parcel is “underused” and would be best for a hotel with 70 to 100 rooms, a restaurant, retail shopping, fast food and a bank, according to the authority.
In addition, construction of a Sheetz is expected to begin this summer, the authority stated.
The Sheetz is a separate project, and the selected developer would work on the remainder of the site, said Larry Lawyer, vice president of Cumberland County-based Delta Development Group Inc.
There is no estimated cost of the development to release at this time, he said. The airport authority expects to announce a developer by the end of March.
