This morning, the Tri-County Association for the Blind is officially unveiling its new name, Vision Resources of Central Pennsylvania.

The 93-year-old community benefit organization said in a news release that the new name highlights “a renewed vision focused on the organization’s mission to support the blind and visually impaired in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry and, now, Franklin counties.”

“We felt we needed a name that better reflects who we are as a nonprofit organization,” Danette Blank, the organization’s executive director, wrote in its November newsletter. “We believe the

new name will help open new doors of opportunity. What will not change is our mission, passion and appreciation for all of our employees, contributors and volunteers.”

Vision Resources is based in Harrisburg.
