The authority, also known as LCSWMA, purchased the dairy property for $2.65 million. It is situated between LCSWMA's Frey Farm Landfill and Turkey Hill Dairy.

Frey Dairy Farms will lease the property from LCSWMA for an 18-month period, the authority said. Future plans for the property have not yet been determined.

"The owners approached us with their intent to sell the Frey Dairy Farms property," LCSWMA CEO Jim Warner said in a statement. "The authority recognized this as an opportunity to secure a key piece of contiguous land. We were happy to negotiate and come to an agreement that would benefit both parties."
