Net income attributable to the company was about $354 million in the quarter, or 52 cents per diluted share, compared with $424 million, or 62 cents per diluted share, in the year-ago period.
Income for the firm’s Automotive Experience business segment, which makes components for automobiles, fell 50 percent in the quarter, the release stated.
Income for its Building Efficiency segment, in which the company’s midstate operations are involved, was up 19 percent, and Power Solutions segment income was down 3 percent, according to the release.
