Industrial Development International Inc., an Atlanta-based developer, is seeking to build more warehouses in Cumberland County across the road from Key Logistics Park in Penn Township.

IDI is asking the township to rezone 163 acres on Centerville Road from agriculture use to industrial commercial for three warehouses with about 2.4 million square feet of space, said Gary Martin, chairman of the Penn Township board of supervisors. The company submitted a sketch of ideas and plan possibilities, he said.

The location is across from Key Logistics Park, a warehousing facility with more than 2 million square feet of space in two buildings. The park is home to Office Depot Inc. and Unilever distribution hubs.

The supervisors plan to schedule a public hearing for the end of February or beginning of March to address the zoning change, Martin said. The next supervisors' meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 14.

The Cumberland County Planning Commission will review the rezoning request and could make a recommendation to the township at its 7:30 a.m. Jan. 17 meeting.
