The program will be held Jan. 17-18 at Reuters headquarters in New York. The Society of American Business Editors and Writers is organizing and conducting it, underwritten by a grant from The Commonwealth Fund, a privately financed foundation devoted to health care reform.
Journalists from 11 states and the District of Columbia were selected through a competitive application process, SABEW said. Besides Stauffer, participants include writers from Money magazine, Crain's New York Business, Reuters and MarketWatch, among other publications.
Stauffer, who joined the Business Journal in June, reports on health care, education, nonprofits and Lancaster County. She said she is honored to be chosen for the symposium.
"I am eager to delve even deeper into this important subject," she said.
