The companies are Dentsply International Inc. of York (major segment, first place); Fortna Inc. of Reading (large group); and Bethany Children's Home of Womelsdorf (small group).

To be considered for the award, companies had to complete the Health Enhancement Research Organization employee health management best scorecard assessment, which evaluates how effectiveness programs incorporate best practices.
