The companies finalized the deal Nov. 8, according to Dynamic. They are not disclosing terms of the acquisition, which comes just two months after Dynamic bought Evanko Respiratory Inc., a Hazleton-based medical equipment supplier.
Allegheny County-based HomeTown expands Dynamic's workforce to about 100 employees, the company said. Dynamic had about 80 employees after the Evanko acquisition. HomeTown was started in 2007 and grew rapidly to distribute medical supplies in 11 western counties.
West Hanover Township-based Dynamic was formed in 2000 as the parent company to the midstate's Central Medical Equipment and Pittsburgh-based East Suburban Medical Supply.
Dynamic is a portfolio company of Delaware County-based private equity firm GMH Ventures.
