The 11 a.m. event was originally scheduled for Oct. 30, but Hurricane Sandy forced Susquehanna Township-based Laughner Patel Developers to postpone it.

Capital Medical Center is located off Kohn Road in the Capital Center office park. The 24,000-square-foot medical arts building, which is home to Schein Ernst Eye Associates and Stratis Gayner Plastic Surgery, took about a year to complete.

The facility also includes an outpatient medical and surgical care center and podiatry practice.
