"This management change occurs at a time of great strength and momentum for Keen," CEO Bill Keen said in a statement. "Chris is a highly-respected executive with broad experience in logistics operations. He understands and appreciates the complex environment in which we operate."

The COO position is new with the company and reflects its changes to better manage the company's growth, Keen said. Prior to this year, Keen also held the president's position. Easter will begin his new positions on Nov. 12.

In late 2011, Los Angeles-based Platinum Equity acquired Keen Transport and its subsidiaries for an undisclosed price. The Middlesex Township-based company employed more than 800 people in 2009 at 17 locations around the country. Its subsidiary Cressler Trucking is based in Southampton Township, Franklin County.
