Conrad Siegel Actuaries, delivering comprehensive employee benefits services, today announced the release of two videos covering the top 5 things to know for Plan Sponsors and the new fees disclosures in retirement plans.
Beth Reeser, Investment Consultant leads the ‘Five Things Every Plan Sponsor Should Know’ video. This video addresses the top issues facing retirement plan sponsors, the responsibilities of fiduciaries and provides guidance in determining fiduciary status. Plan sponsors will learn the primary types of fees and the variety of ways that service providers assess them. Reeser gives plan sponsors suggestions on investment menu design and monitoring procedures to guide fiduciaries through their decision making process. Reeser also explains how plan sponsors can calculate the true and total cost of their retirement. The video concludes with strategies to help develop effective participant communication and education.
The second video, ‘Top 5 Things You Need to Know About Fee Disclosures in Retirement Plans’ led by Tom Reese, Consulting Actuary and Partner, will help employers understand their responsibilities with the new fee disclosure requirements. Employers will learn how to evaluate if their fees are reasonable and will highlight areas where fees are commonly overlooked by employers and can lead to lawsuits.
“These videos will give clients a convenient place to go to for a concise explanation of what fiduciaries and plan sponsors need to be aware of,” said Partner and Director of Investment Consulting, Tara Mashack-Behney. “Not everyone has the time to attend a seminar. These videos allow plan sponsors to learn more about the current issues in their industry on their own time.”
Reese specializes in retirement plan consulting, administration and employee communication for daily valuation plans. He is an expert in plan design and recordkeeping for profit-sharing plans, ESOPs, 403(b) and 401(k) plans. Reeser specializes in investment consulting for defined contribution retirement plans including 401(k) retirement plans and 403(b) plans. She works with private sector employers and tax-exempt organizations.
