PinnacleHealth has had benchmark results in central line bloodstream infections, no ventilator-associated infections in adult critical care units for two years and a 6 percent decrease in readmissions of patients discharged to skilled nursing facilities.

Highmark's program is a decade old and includes 90 hospitals in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Highmark will hold a best practice forum in Harrisburg on Nov. 8 for the hospitals.
