On July 18, 2012, the Central Penn Business Journal hosted attendees from the medical, insurance and business sectors at the 2012 Healthcare Symposium at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey.



Central Penn Business Journal's Health Care Symposium 2012 was all about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act: What the U.S. Supreme Court ruling meant, what decisions come next and what's coming up on the timeline.



The event focused on the future of health care in the U.S. given the recent Supreme Court ruling. Speakers covered the Act's impact on business and the health care and insurance industries, and the future of Medicare.



Speakers told hundreds of attendees that uncertainty remains, but there are things they should be doing now to prepare.

In his session he addressed what medical practices, hospitals and health insurers will look like in the future, how technology will impact the delivery of health care and the new challenges facing employers.
