The commonwealth's largest state government relations law practice — Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney — said Friday it plans to relocate to the Second and State building on Aug. 17. The newly constructed building is set to open Aug. 20, according to the news release.

Harrisburg-based WCI Partners LP is the developer of the $7 million building at 409 N. Second St., which is just one block from the state Capitol.

Buchanan will occupy nearly two-thirds of the 50,000-square-foot building, which also will include First National Bank's regional headquarters.

WCI is seeking a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Designation, or LEED, Gold rating. The building has a geothermal heat system and other green features.
