The move is a management succession from the third generation to the fourth generation of the family business, according to a news release.
Glezer joined the business along with his wife, Lisa Wagman Glezer, more than 11 years ago and has been president and chief operating officer of Wagman Cos. for five years, the release stated.
Richard Wagman is removing himself from day-to-day responsibilities by stepping aside as CEO of Wagman Cos. and CEO of G.A. & F.C. Wagman, but he will continue as chairman of the two entities.
Wagman Cos. is the holding and management company for G.A. & F.C. Wagman, a heavy civil contractor specializing in transportation infrastructure, and Wagman Construction Inc., a full-service general contractor, the release stated.
Joe Wagman continues as vice chairman of Wagman Cos. and is chairman and CEO of Wagman Construction, the company said.
