Lancaster County-based Amelia's Grocery Outlet has signed a lease to expand west into the Hanover market and expects to open the store around early October, the company's chief executive said.

The roughly 15,000-square-foot location in York County will be at the North Point Plaza at Carlisle Street and Eisenhower Drive, President and CEO Michael Mitchell said.

It will be the business's 15th store, he said.

The store will include some new features resulting from the company's acquisition by California-based Grocery Outlet Inc., such as expanded sections and offerings, Mitchell said.

The same changes will be occurring at existing stores but "all of the new stores are out on the front edge of it," he said.
