Gregory T. Miller has been named the new CEO of Freeland, Md.-based Penn-Mar Organization Inc., doing business as Penn-Mar Human Services, effective July 1, according to the nonprofit's board of directors.

Miller, currently president and chief operating officer, will succeed Keith R. Peterson, who intends to retire at the end of 2012, according to a news release.

Peterson will remain as a senior policy adviser until the end of the year, the release stated.

Penn-Mar was founded in 1981 and serves more than 400 adults with developmental disabilities through its residential, respite, educational, vocational and supported employment programs in northern Maryland and southern York County, according to the release.
