Dauphin County-based manufacturer Librandi's Plating is expanding and adding a second manufacturing location in Central Pennsylvania.

Librandi’s, based in Middletown, recently bought a nearly 43,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at 3990 Paxton St. in Swatara Township for industrial plating, machining and rack manufacturing, said Dan Alderman of Wormleysburg real estate firm NAI CIR.

The Middletown operation is expanding, so Librandi’s is moving its machine shop to the Paxton Street location for more room, he said.

Executives at Librandi’s did not immediately return calls seeking comment on the expansion.

Last year, the company worked on a “flying car” that garnered it, the creators and other midstate firms some exposure beyond the region with national publications.
