In November, the company signed a contract to provide Medicare claims processing service for seven states: Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. The jobs being added are to help with that workload, said Adriane Tish, a company spokeswoman.

The balance of the new jobs — about 150 — will be in the Williamsport area, Tish added.

Novitas hopes to have the positions filled by the fall.

The jobs will be a mix of experience levels, with salaries ranging from $29,000 to $60,000 per year, according to a news release.
