Plans for a $750,000 youth development park for the Boys & Girls Club of Central Pennsylvania will come before the Harrisburg City Council on Tuesday.

The legislative session will be at 6 p.m. in council’s chambers at the City Government Center.

The park is being built by the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation behind the club on Berryhill Street in Harrisburg. It will include a baseball field, basketball court and exercise area.

The foundation will provide an additional $250,000 as a grant to the club over two years for programs and operations at the park.

Also on the council’s agenda is a resolution approving a 50-unit condominium project at the Barto Building on North Third and State streets.

Dan Deitchman, owner of Cumberland County-based Brickbox Enterprises Ltd., is planning to convert the vacant office building.

Deitchman was not immediately available for comment on the project.

A third resolution approving plans for new construction of a 9,180-square-foot Family Dollar store at 1801 Derry St. also is on the agenda.
