The authority issued a request for proposals and received three by a late March deadline after a previous plan for the western portion of the long-running project fell through.

The community's Codo Development Group submitted plans to construct two apartment buildings at the site, and York-based Susquehanna Real Estate proposed 10 townhomes, said Kevin Schreiber, the city's community and economic development director.

The authority also received a proposal for master planning from a development entity in the West Chester area and a letter with an idea for a "novel concept" for the site's Keystone Color Works building, Schreiber said at this morning's Downtown Update by York-based group Downtown Inc.

Officials are interested in following up on those submissions, he said.
