February 10 lecture:
“Sustainability of the World’s Natural Resources”
Speaker: Dr. Fulgentius Lugemwa
Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry at Penn State York, PA
Dr. Lugemwa received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Makerere University in Kampala-Uganda. He received his PhD from the University of Maine in 1988. He has been an assistant professor at Penn State-York since 2008.
Dr. Lugemwa plans to use the YouTube video The Story of Stuff to introduce his lecture on sustainability of the world’s natural resources. He will promote the efficient use of (white oak) wood to mature distilled beverages as one example of reducing waste of the world’s limited natural resources.
Lecture is free and open to the public and scheduled to begin at 2 PM. In addition to the lecture, we will provide light refreshments and auxiliary exhibits related to the lectures. Child care will be available.
