February 3 lecture:
“Black Is, Black Ain’t: Seeing Race in America Clearly”
Speaker: Dr. Douglas Anthony
Chair of the Department of History at Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster, PA
Dr. Anthony received his PhD in History from Northwestern University in 1996 and became an assistant professor at Franklin & Marshall College in 1997. He is now the chair of the department of history.
Dr. Anthony’s lecture will focus on race, color, and the historically slippery nature of blackness.
Lecture is free and open to the public and scheduled to begin at 2 PM. In addition to the lecture, we will provide light refreshments and auxiliary exhibits related to the lectures. Child care will be available.
